'Kalamazoo' Rail System

   Our Kalamazoo Rail System is the original 'No weld, No thread, No screw' pipe fitting railing system. 

   Pipe Fittings:   

   Our improved system is modeled after classic  'Ball Pattern Pipe Railing Fittings' - popular from the late 1800's into the mid 1900's. Our modern version of these aesthetic pipe fittings are sand cast in aluminum with precise slip fit joints and is easily connected with high strength structural adhesive.  We currently offer a variety of stock fittings, including all the standard outlet configurations. Easy to assemble, any competent fabricator will allready have everything they need to put this railing together. We can also develop tooling for custom fitting configurations - and we may have tooling from previous custom parts available. (I know we have 31 to 32 deg Flange and Tee tooling) 

   Connection Adhesive:  

   This innovative design allows the slip fit fittings to be permanently bonded to the mating pipe with 'state of the art' structural adhesive. The adhesive we implement in our system is  manufactured by LORD Corporation, specifically their proven 406/19 acrylic adhesive formula. It is incredibly strong and resists everything - commonly used to build over the road truck bodies! The connections will last longer and stay tighter than reality will require. This amazing adhesive is a two component thermosetting acrylic, which allows for separation of the pipe from the fitting when heated to 400f. This adhesive also has glass beads incorporated throughout to maintain proper adhesive thickness in the joint. '406/19 GB' is super strong (2800 psi), cleans up easy, sets fast (12 min), maintains it's own thickness, separates when heated and is relatively inexpensive - that's fabricator friendly.
